Carl Johan de Geer. Paris 1967.
(Text in Swedish) In 1967 Carl Johan de Geer, together with journalist Rebecka Tarschys, designer Gunila Axén and his present wife Marie-Louise, traveled to Paris with the intention of documenting the fall collections of the great fashion houses. They were all convinced that this would be the last chance of doing such a document since the haute couture designs would all be gone within a short period of time, leaving way for a democratic street fashion for ordinary people. They were wrong.
This lavish magazine is published in conjunction with the exhibition "We Were Wrong. Fashion Photography by Carl Johan de Geer" held at Prins Eugens Waldemarsudde in the spring season of 2013. It's large format photos in black and white gives a unique insight into the fashionable side of Paris in 1967.
